Michael Fensken, M.A. is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at UNLV and is working under the supervision of Dr. Jasmine Schnurstein. Michael is receiving specialized training in evidence-based practices for children, adolescents, and families with a wide range of developmental, behavioral, and emotional concerns.

Michael is originally from central New York and moved to Las Vegas in 2020. In his doctoral program, his psychological research focuses on studying the risk and protective factors surrounding problematic school refusal in children and adolescents. Michael also teaches undergraduate courses, and mentors undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in psychology. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time outside, hiking, running, soccer, and golf.
