Heather Phelps, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Heather Phelps is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a graduate of the Couple and Family Therapy Program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She specializes in evidence-based practices with children and adolescents, and has extensive experience supporting youth in both outpatient and residential treatment settings.
Heather currently serves as the Assistant Pediatric Clinic Director at UNLV’s the PRACTICE, where she provides therapy and clinical supervision. During her time at UNLV, she has worked primarily with pediatric clients, helping them navigate challenges related to anxiety, ADHD, ASD, depression, family dynamics, and behavioral issues. Before entering the mental health field, Heather was a teacher in the Clark County School District and taught a few undergraduate level courses at UNLV, giving her a unique perspective on the intersection of education and mental health. She prioritizes teaching clients and families on how to help themselves so she is not needed anymore.
Originally from Boulder City, Heather is proud to call Southern Nevada home. She brings warmth, structure, and a strong commitment to wellness in her work with families. In her free time, she enjoys fostering dogs, lifting weights, playing board games (especially CATAN), and listening to true crime podcasts.
