Michelle Strong, PhD
Dr. Michelle Strong is a licensed psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for adults, groups, and couples. Dr. Strong treats trauma and stress-related disorders, anxiety, depression, substance use, interpersonal, and personality-related difficulties. Drawing on her training at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, she uses a range of evidence-based therapies including but not limited to CPT, PE, ACT, CBT, and DBT. She approaches each client with flexibility and genuine care, tailoring treatment to individual needs while prioritizing a therapeutic relationship built on safety and trust.
In addition to her work at the EBP, Dr. Strong leads psychotherapy groups and supervises graduate clinicians at the UNLV PRACTICE Institute of Mental and Behavioral Health. A Las Vegas native and UNLV alumna, she is passionate about serving the Southern Nevada community. As a Mexican American psychologist, she is committed to serving underserved communities, offers Spanish-language services, and brings a decolonized lens to her work with diverse populations. She welcomes the incorporation of personal, cultural, and spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process when meaningful to the client.
In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, MMA training, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
